M-Scan introduces Capillary IsoElectric Focusing (cIEF)
01. May 2008
M-Scan introduces Capillary IsoElectric Focusing (cIEF), delivering superior resolution and reproducibility compared to conventional CE.
The iCE280 analyser at M-Scan detects focused protein zones using a whole column UV absorption detector that avoids disturbing these focused zones. This technology is unique in that it has the comparable resolution of traditional gel IEF but incorporates the advantages of a column based separation technology, including quantitation (using UV at 280nm) and automation. The iCE280 analyser is superior to conventional CE performed with single point detection systems, which require a lengthy mobilization phase, which can potentially lead to sample degradation, during the experiment. As a result, method development and sample analysis can be run on the iCE 280 instrument in a fraction of the time required by other technologies.

M-Scan Ltd passes regulatory inspections for GMP.
03. Dec 2007
Another of the laboratories within the M-Scan group, M-Scan Ltd (Wokingham, UK), has successfully completed regulatory inspections conducted by both the United States FDA and the UK MHRA. M-Scan Ltd, which has been fully compliant with GLP since 1992, now joins the other M-Scan labs in offering analytical services throughout the clinical development phases of drug discovery.
In a new initiative, the MHRA has introduced a “certificate of GMP inspection” and M-Scan Ltd will be amongst the first laboratories to receive this. We will be happy to provide a copy of this to our clients.
