Forensic Analytical Services

M-Scan has provided Forensic Analytical Services used in civil and criminal cases all over the world. The ‘M-Scan Expert Witness Programme’ also provides both detailed briefing for counsel and expert testimony in court.

In Criminal Cases the most common request is to correlate samples associated with a suspect or vehicle with samples seized at the scene of the crime. These samples may include:

Oil Products (gasolines, diesel, lubricating oil)
Residual Accelerants in Arson Attacks
Smoke Odours from Fires
Oil or Chemical Stains
Cosmetic Odours or Toiletry Residues

In Civil Cases M-Scan undertakes a wide variety of cases either working for individual clients or providing a fully independent analytical service.
